Incumbent candidate for re-election to the Tennessee House of Representatives in the 67th District

Jason says, “Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve our community. It has been and continues to be an amazing journey. I hope you all will allow me to work for you again. Until then, I’m going to keep fighting for Clarksville and all Tennesseans by making sure everyone is safe and receiving any help they need.“

Jason’s Vision

  • Supports full funding of public schools
    • Believes in investing in higher salaries for public school teachers
    • Supports funding for quality early education
    • Opposes vouchers that take money away from public schools
  • Promotes proper funding for Austin Peay State University and for higher education across the state
  • Believes that infrastructure is critical to the growth of Clarksville
    • Worked with the Tennessee Department of Education on major road expansion projects for Clarksville
    • Sponsored bill to fund money for school expansion in growing areas like Montgomery County
  • Endorses the expansion of Medicaid in Tennessee
    • Sponsoring bill which allows the governor to expand Medicaid according to the Affordable Care Act
    • Voted against the ineffective block grant proposal
    • Fighting to cap the costs of life-saving drugs
    • Supports medical marijuana 
  • Advocates for our military community for both active-duty and veterans
    • Helping military families with in-state college tuition
    • Sponsoring legislation for spouses and dependent children of active-duty military who are transferred out of state to receive in-state tuition at public postsecondary schools

  • Graduated cum laude from Austin Peay State University with a degree in Political Science and a minor in International Relations
  • Devoted husband to Diana and dedicated father to his daughter and son

Professional Career

  • United States Marine Corps Veteran
  • Operations Manager for the Clarksville Montgomery County School System
  • Montgomery County Commissioner for District 17, serving from 2014-2018
  • Serving his first term as State Representative for the 67th District in the Tennessee General Assembly
    • Deputy Minority Whip in the TN House of Representatives
    • Sponsored 24 bills and 14 resolutions 
    • Co-sponsored 122 bills and 130 resolutions
