Aftyn Behn wins the Democratic Nomination for TN District 7
On Tuesday, October 7th, Aftyn Behn hosted a watch party for the Primary Election in Clarksville, TN. With her dedicated supporters and campaign team surrounding her, she celebrated a much deserving win. As she took center stage to give her speech, she thanked the people who believed in her. To Aftyn, the residents who voted for her are more than voters, they are the reason she decided to run for Congress. She made it very clear that this win was ours. She acknowledged the supporters she has met during her campaign who shared their stories with her, and she thanked her amazing campaign team who has sacrificed just as she has to get here. Her character was shown through her gratitude.
Although the room was electrified, everyone knew there was still work to be done. Aftyn will now go head-to-head with Republican nominee Matt Van Epps to battle for a Congressional seat. December 2nd is on the horizon and this will be the time she needs our support more than ever. The Republicans voted in higher numbers than the Democrats, but that doesn’t mean they will win the General Election. If every registered voter within our party cast their vote, there is no doubt that we will flip this seat blue. Tennesseans deserve a representative who has strength, courage, and the ability to demand what is best for all of us. The time is now.
This upcoming election will prove that Tennesseans are tired of being looked over. The bare minimum will no longer suffice. On December 2nd, we will use our vote to send a message. Aftyn Behn for Congress!
