Meet our 2026 Democratic Candidates and find out how you can support them by volunteering, donating, or just having conversations with friends and family about them. 2026 marks the fulmination of years of planning and growing the visibility of the Democratic Party here in Montgomery County and we are extremely proud of this group of citizens who have stepped up to run and represent their neighbors in local government. We believe that the time is right for change in our county and that these are the people who will bring that change. We need representatives who listen to residents and focus on issues that affect the people who live in Montgomery County.
This group of candidates is incredibly diverse and is a true reflection of the demographics of our county. The cohort is the largest we have ever assembled and represents a number of firsts in Montgomery County:
– First time with multiple democratic countywide nominees
– First time challenging four school board races
– First time that six of the Democratic commission incumbents have no qualified opponents
