Meet our 2026 Democratic candidates. This dynamic and diverse group truly reflects the people of our county. It is the largest and most historic cohort we have ever assembled, marking several important firsts for Montgomery County.

Isaac is running for Montgomery County Mayor. He has been involved in many local non-profit and non-partisan organizations, along with the Democratic Party to learn how to better assist all residents.
Garfield is running for State Representative District 68 and Montgomery County Commissioner for District 1. He is a third generation Clarksville resident, retired professional truck driver, and farmer.
Incumbent for County Commission, District 5 (Unopposed)
Dr. Leverett currently serves as the County Commissioner for District 5, fulfilling the duties of Chair of the Jail, Juvenile Committee and Chair of the Legislation Liaison Committee.
Rebecca is running for Montgomery County Commission 7. As a Woodlawn local, mother, and organizer, she wants to focus on “Responsible Growth. Community Values.”

LaTonia is the current County Commissioner for District 8. She is an army veteran, who has spent time volunteering in Montgomery County with various groups and organizations.
Rev. Walker is running for re-election to the Montgomery County Commissioner, District 10. He serves as the chaplain at the Veteran Treatment Court, the pastor of Lewis/Wimberly Missionary Baptist Church, and he is a veteran.
Luther is a candidate for Montgomery County Commissioner, District 11. He was born and raised in Clarksville and currently the leader of Hasan Temple No. 150. He has 20 years of experience from his work with child welfare and serving mandated youth.
Carmelle currently serves at the Montgomery County Commissioner for District 12. As incumbent, she wants to continue her mission of representing every member of the community with dignity and respect.
Adrian is running for Montgomery County Commissioner, District 14. He is a native of Clarksville, retired U.S. Air Force veteran, and has 24 years of experience in logistics and budgeting.
Lisa has been involved in the political and community arena since the age of 17 and has a history in law enforcement and retail which helped her find the pulse of the county. She has been privileged to serve two terms in our county and loves the community she lives and serves in, as well as the city that grows around it. Commissioner Pritchard is looking forward to finishing the work she started at the County Commission.
Chris is up for re-election for Montgomery County Commissioner, District 17. As a Montgomery County native, he wants to extend on what he has accomplished such as the wheel tax rebate.
Dr. Alexander Pegram will bring a scientist’s precision and a father’s perspective to the Montgomery County Commission. A lifelong Tennessean with a doctorate in Medical Physics, Alex is running to stop ‘build now, pay later’ development in District 19. He is dedicated to protecting our neighborhoods from industrial overreach, fixing our infrastructure, and ensuring our county’s growth is both smart and sustainable.
Renee is running in her first election as County Commissioner of District 20. She works in Public Heath, is a Veteran’s wife/daughter, and turns volunteer work into real impact for our community.

Ronnie Glynn assumed office on November 8, 2022. Glynn graduated from Halls High School before serving in the U.S. Army from 1990 to 2014. He earned a B.S. in business administration from Trident University International in 2012. Glynn and his wife have four adult children and 11 grandchildren, eight of whom are students in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. Glynn is also a small business owner in Clarksville, TN.

Allie is running for House Representative District 75. She is a mother and union member. She is an active Clarksville resident who ran for House Representative District 75 in 2024.

Carol, the incumbent of the Montgomery County School Board, District 1, is running for re-election. She has been involved with many organizations who focus on low-income housing, children’s research, and drug and alcohol rehabilitation.
As a native of Clarksville and an I.T. business administrative lead for the state, Darryl is running for the Clarksville-Montgomery County School Board 3. His priority is raising student achievement by creating classrooms where every child can grow, succeed, and prepare for the future. Darryl will support strong academic standards, proven instruction, and a learning environment that gives every student the tools to excel.
Jacqueline is running for Clarksville-Montgomery County School Board, District 5. She has 20 years of experience with educational support and has served on the Clarksville Education Association Executive, Tennessee Education and National Education Boards.

Dr. Hall, who has worked on big campaigns in the past, is now a candidate for Clarksville- Montgomery County School Board, District 7. As an active member in the community, a retired veteran, and a mom, her motto is “protect students, pay educators, and fund public schools.”
