With so many heartbreaking things going on, we have some uplifting news to share! In 2026 we as a county party have the most Black American candidates running for office that we’ve ever had! Each candidate has made history within our county party, and we couldn’t be happier to celebrate this enormous milestone.
Black History Month celebrates the achievements and the identity of Black America. It is a time to lift their voices and stand in solidary, not just during Black History Month, but all year long. Change doesn’t occur overnight. It happens in steps; through conversations and understanding. Action makes change.
As we reflect during this month, let it be a reminder of what we can accomplish when everyone comes together; where every voice is heard, not silenced. Together, we are stronger.
