As we celebrate Black History Month 2026 in our community, there will be many events for everyone to participate in. From a Jubilee, to a Black Expo, Clarksville is doing their part to bring events to the city that honor Black history, culture, community leaders, and organizations who work hard to ensure that Black history stays alive. We encourage you to join one of these amazing events during the month. We hope to see you there!

February 1, 2026: A Century of Black History Commemoration

February 1, 2026: Black Love Poetry Show
For those of you who enjoy music, poetry and art, there will be a Black Love Poetry Show at Lyrics Lounge in Clarksville, beginning at 3pm on February 1st. This event is 21+ with $15 general admission or $20 VIP.

February 20, 2026: Black Owned Business Mob
Join BLK Clarksville for their BOB (Black Owned Business) Mob. This is an all day event where the community comes together to support a local black owned business. Poppin’ in the City is the business that will be highlighted for Black History Month. They are located at 265 Stonecrossing Dr, Suite G in Clarksville. Be sure to stop by during business hours to show your support and shop local.

February 21, 2026: It Still Takes a Village
Sickle Cell disease affects many within the Black community. On February 21st, you can attend this free event where you can learn about sickle cell awareness, Black history and financial literacy. There will be free food, live entertainment and local vendors, This event is from 2pm-6pm at 207 Oak St, Clarksville TN.

February 21, 2026: Black History Jubilee
The North Branch Public Library in Clarksville will be hosting a Black History Jubilee on February 21st, from 9:30am-5pm. This will be a celebration of Black History Month with local stories, crafts, displays, and local vendors. This event will be free and open to all ages.

February 22, 2016: Black Expo
BLK Clarksville will be hosting their Black Expo on February 22nd from 12pm-5pm at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center. Come with your family and friends for a day full of culture and celebrations. This event will feature Black-owned businesses, local organizations, community leaders, and live entertainment. Free to attend.
