TNDP Chair Hendrell Remus and 2020 U.S. Senate Nominee Amy McGrath Headline Virtual “Pajama” Fundraiser

Clarksville, Tennessee – The Montgomery County Democratic Party will host “Jammin’ with The Dems,” an online pajama-jam/fundraising event, February 8 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Supporters can donate $25 and join other Democrats via Zoom for fun and games, as well as guest speakers from the comfort of their own homes. Democratic-themed pajamas and/or attire, as well as Democratic-themed Zoom backgrounds are encouraged, but not required.

“You asked and we listened. You asked for a more affordable, more inclusive spring fundraiser, and here it is.,” MCTNDP Fundraising Chair Karen Sorenson said.

Headline speakers will include Tennessee Democratic Party (TNDP) Chair Hendrell Remus and 2020 Democratic Nominee for US Senate in Kentucky Amy McGrath. Montgomery County candidates are expected to hop online and make appearances.

Chairperson Remus, a native Memphian, became the first Black elected party chair in 2021. He has advised mayoral and state house candidates and been involved in local school boards, city council, and county commissioner races.

Lt. Col. McGrath is a former Marine fighter pilot and political candidate. She has taken her military experience to advocate for issues involving the military, foreign policy, and women in service and politics.

Tickets for this event can be purchased on the mcdptn.org website under events, or at https://secure.actblue.com/donate/jammin-with-dems. This is not a Blue South event; therefore, all Boosters will need to purchase a ticket to attend. The Zoom link will be sent shortly before the event.
