(CLARKSVILLE, TN) – Do you want to be a part of something bigger than yourself? Do you feel the need to stand up against the things you see destroying our Democracy? Get empowered and join the Montgomery County Democratic Party (MCDP) for our Biennial Reorganization Convention on Saturday, March 22nd.
The MCDP seeks to build on its historic wins in 2022 by electing officers and a larger and more diverse executive committee for the 2025-2026 term. During our Biennial Reorganization Convention, you are invited to fight for liberty and justice for ALL by shaping your county party and serving in a leadership position to flip Montgomery County BLUE!

WHERE: Sundquist Science Complex – Austin Peay State University, 8th St, Clarksville, TN 37040
Participants will elect officers for the 2025-2026 term to serve as County Party Chair, four Vice Chairs (Communications, Fundraising, Candidates Support, and Grassroots-Outreach), Trustee, Treasurer, and Secretary. Ten Democrats from each state house district will be elected to the executive committee. Additionally, caucuses will be formed to represent and organize various identity-focused groups. The leadership team elected on March 22nd will lead the party through critical 2026 elections.
Current Party Chair Charles Uffelman is stepping down from heading the party and encouraging new leadership. “My two terms have been a blast; we got lots of good Democrats elected, but our fight is changing. It’s time to step up. If you want to fight for change, this is the team to do it.”
Doors will open at 10:00 AM, with the convention kicking off at 11:00 AM. Attendees arriving after 11 will be limited in participation eligibility. Participants must be registered Montgomery County voters who are aligned with the Democratic Party (through registration or declaration). RSVP via the convention’s event page on the MC(TN)DP website.
